SAMBAR (Lentil Soup)

SAMBAR:


Ingredient;

1   Toor Dal                    1/2 cup
2   Squash pieces            1 cup
3   Drum stick                  6 pieces
4   Tomatoes                    2 
5   Tamarind                    ¼  cup paste
6    Sambar Powder         ¼  cup

7    Salt                             1 TBS
8    Garlic   cloves            2 (pieces)
9    Coriander Leaves       a bunch
10  Turmeric powder        ¼ TSP
11  Curry leaves               a bunch
12  Mustard seeds             ¼  TSP
13  Cumin seeds                1  TSP
14  Hing                             ¼ TSP
15  Oil                                1 TBS

Method

1   Cook  dal in  a pressure Cooker (1:2 dal vs water ratio)
2   Add 6 cup water into pan add all vegetable pieces
3   Once the vegetables are almost cooked add Tamarind paste, cooked  dal, salt, turmeric powder, Sambar powder and Coriander Leaves

Tampering;
1   Add oil to a pan, once the oil is hot enough add ingredients from       steps 11,12,13,14
2  once they sputter add it to the liquid above
