Puffed Rice Upma (Uggani):

 Puffed Rice Upma (Uggani):

Ingrediant:


1      Puffed Rice  (Murmura)  250 gms
2            Onions                               1 big
3             Buna Chana powder        ½ cup
4             Green Chilies                  10  cut into pieces (Adjust to taste
5             Salt                                   1 TBS (Adjust to taste)
6            Coconut                             ¼  cup (I Used Frozen )
7            Urad dal                            1/4  TSP
8      Turmeric powder              ¼ TSP
9             Curry  leaves                   1 Bunch
10         Mustard seeds                 ¼  TSP
11         Cumin  seeds                   1  TSP
12         Oil                                     3 TBS

Method:


1         Soak puffed rice in water for 5 minutes
2         Drain water from puffed rice and put in a separate bowl
3         Add oil to a pan, once the oil is hot enough add  Urad dal ,Green chili pieces, Curry leaves, Mustard seeds, Turmeric Powder, Cumin Seeds and Ginger pieces
4         After they fry add coconut, puffed rice and salt
5         Mix Buna chana powder.
6         Spicy uggani is ready to eat
